Honourable Member of Parliament, Benny Behanan and BYJU’S Come Together to Provide Free Learning Programme to Underprivileged Children

BYJU’S, the world's leading edtech company joined hands with Mr. Benny Behanan, Honourable Member of Parliament from Chalakudy Constituency, to provide free learning programs for underprivileged children. To commemorate the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi and with an aim to provide equal learning opportunities, tablets with free BYJU’S learning programs were distributed to children between the age group of 6-18, including 71 girls and 56 boys across government schools.

The partnership focuses on empowering children from underserved communities with access to high-quality digital tools and learning opportunities while strengthening BYJU’S ongoing efforts under ‘Education for All’ social initiatives umbrella. The content, including BYJU’S learning programmes for Mathematics and Science, has been made available in regional languages to provide ease of learning in one’s native language.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Benny Behanan, Member of Parliament, Chalakudy Constituency, Thrissur, said, “We are delighted to have partnered with BYJU’S and make this education drive a success. Education in India is a longstanding challenge for underprivileged children and we need to come together to resolve and ensure that every child has access to it. BYJU’S has transformed the face of education in India and widened its scope through its innovative online learning models. The content provided in the tablet is expected to create an enriching experience for the students and enable them with a strong pool of knowledge. The activity adds an impetus to our long-term vision of uplifting the underserved communities of the country.”
