Muthoot Finance Establishes Comprehensive Diabetic Centre at                 Indira Gandhi Co-Operative Hospital, Kochi

Kochi, May 13, 2024: Muthoot Finance, India’s largest gold loan NBFC, is proud to announce the establishment of a Comprehensive Diabetic Centre at the Indira Gandhi Co-Operative Hospital (IGCH) in Kadavanthra, Kochi. This initiative is part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and is being undertaken in association with the Rotary Club of Cochin East.

The IGCH is a fully socially oriented public sector undertaking, committed to providing affordable healthcare to the underprivileged communities. The new Diabetic Centre was officially inaugurated today, May 13, 2024, at 4:00 PM by Shri. George M George, Deputy Managing Director, Muthoot Finance.

The ceremony was presided by M O John, President, Indira Gandhi Co-Operative Hospital.  Smt. Jebi Mather, Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, Adv. B A Abdul Muthalib, Vice President, Indira Gandhi Co-Operative Hospital and Ajay Tharayil, Secretary, Indira Gandhi Co-Operative Hospital, Vinu Mammen, President, Rotary Club of Cochin East were also present at the function.

Speaking at the inauguration, George M George, Deputy Managing Director, Muthoot Finance, expressed his enthusiasm about the project, "We are delighted to partner with the Indira Gandhi Co-Operative Hospital and the Rotary Club of Cochin East to establish this much-needed Diabetic Centre. Diabetes is a growing concern in India, and this centre will provide vital services for early diagnosis, treatment, and management of the disease. We believe this initiative will significantly improve the lives of people in Kochi and surrounding areas."

The centre will be equipped with advanced diagnostic equipment to identify diabetes and prediabetes at early stages. This will be achieved through comprehensive lab tests, including HbA1c, fasting and post-prandial sugar levels, Oral Glucose Tolerance Tests, renal function tests, and urine routine analysis.

  • Cloud Storage Server
  • Impedence Body fat index machine

The establishment of the Comprehensive Diabetic Centre marks a significant step forward in providing accessible healthcare services to the people of Kochi. Early diagnosis and treatment of diabetes can significantly reduce the risk of serious complications associated with the disease.
