Probationers of BIPARD, Bihar visit Technopark
- First batch of 59 officer trainees to get first-hand experience of state’s IT ecosystem
Thiruvananthapuram, May 13: The first batch of 59 probationers of the 2nd Foundation Course at Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (BIPARD) are here in Kerala on a week-long training and exposure visit, which started off with their visit to Technopark to get the first-hand experience of the burgeoning IT ecosystem of Kerala and to know about the functioning of India’s first IT Park.
Seven batches of BIPARD are set to visit various organizations under Kerala IT in the coming weeks as part of the learning programme.
The officer trainees in the first batch interacted with Col Sanjeev Nair (Retd), CEO of Technopark, who gave a detailed presentation on Kerala's thriving IT sector.
Noting that a visit to Technopark is a good learning curve for the probationers, Col Sanjeev Nair (Retd) said Kerala has been in the forefront of transformational changes in the social sector and is digitally driven to achieve the same. He added that Kerala is always ready to extend a helping hand to all who seek to have know-how of a societal transformation and technological advancement.
Elaborating on Technopark's growth profile, the CEO emphasized that Technopark is the state's pride and a national asset and the organization is client-focused ensuring ease of doing business in the state.
“The IT/ITeS ecosystem in Kerala is a blend of infrastructure, ecology and technology with people being in the forefront and that propels overall growth. He added that IT parks operate in a self sustainable mode with government support,” said Col Sanjeev Nair (Retd) while responding to a query.
BIPARD conducts training for Indian Administrative Services (probationers), Bihar Administrative Services (probationers), and other allied services probationers.
Shri Vasanth Varada, AGM, Customer Relationships, Technopark, and other officials of Technopark were also present.
