A first-of-its-kind Blue Java Banana plant supplied by Rise n’ Shine Biotech Private Limited yields amazing results; gains prominence among farmers

2^nd April 2024: In a pioneering feat, Rise n’ Shine Biotech Private Limited, developed Blue Java – an exotic variant of Banana with a distinct taste and colour. Being made available for the first time in India on a commercial basis, the first harvest of this variant was done today in esteemed presence of Dr. Bhagyashree P. Patil, Founder & CMD, Rise n’ Shine Biotech Private Limited along with other dignitaries including Mr Amey D Paatil, Farm Operation Manager, Rise n’ Shine Biotech Private Limited, Miss Eshita D. Mohite Patil, Mrs. Rajlaxmi D Patil, along with farmers from nearby villages.

The occasion was organized to celebrate the initial fruiting and harvest of this extraordinary variant of the fruit, sourced from Rise n’ Shine Biotech Private Limited and cultivated on a 2-acre plot by Abhijit Patil, an engineer and farmer residing in Karmala Taluka, Solapur District. He is renowned for his cultivation of unique fruits such as Red Banana, Dragon Fruit, and Apples in the past. Alongside him, numerous other farmers have successfully grown this banana variety, reaping remarkable yields. The Pune-based company provided comprehensive guidance to these farmers, assisting them at every stage from planting to harvest, ensuring optimal results.

Blue Java bananas are packed with high nutritional value and provide multiple health benefits like muscle regeneration, moderate blood sugar level, promote weight loss, reduce insomnia, aid digestion, prevent cancer and support heart health. The origin of this banana variant traces to South-East Asia and is also known as vanilla banana due to a taste similar to vanilla ice cream.  Blue Java Bananas are in high demand in the market and are sold at a higher price point in major cities, and 5-star properties across the country.
