Launch of Velicham - Specific Learning Disability Camp from April 30th to May 2nd

Muvattupuzha, April 23

NAAM (Nirmala Alumni Association Muvattupuzha), an alumni association of Muvattupuzha Nirmala Higher Secondary School, is registered and working with its headquarters in Muvattupuzha. The association is strengthened by the people who have completed their studies from Nirmala in about 60 batches and hold high positions in different parts of the world, talented doctors, health workers and volunteers.

NAAM Early Intervention Center (NEIC) is started by focusing on early detection of learning disabilities in children above 5 years of age and the scientific training to be given to them. The NEIC will be functioning on the hospital campus in collaboration with Muvattupuzha Cooperative Super Specialty Hospital (MCS).

In order to initiate the above activities of NEIC, a learning disability screening camp will be organized at Muvattupuzha Nirmala School under the leadership of NAAM on April 30, involving children with learning disabilities and behavioral problems, their parents and school authorities. All are welcome to this camp. Led by specialist doctors, psychologists, special educators and therapists who have expertise in this field, the problems of each child participating in this camp will be analyzed in detail and scientific guidelines will be given to them to formulate future study and training plans. NAAM's "NEIC" initiative brings the above specialty consultations, which normally take several days in various hospitals, under one roof so that they can be done in one day.

Children who want to participate in the camp must be registered in advance. The registered children will be checked in the camp at a predetermined time.
